Kara is pregnant, but her fiance, William, is dead. William's brother - Jasper - steps in and agrees to marry Kara.
They both are forced to marry each other. Jasper doesn't want wife, and for Kara, one relationship is enough.
Jasper thinks Kara is just clumsy, shy and awkward girl who needs someone to clean her mess up.
However, slowly and painfully, Jasper discovers Kara's dark secret, and fell in love with her along the way.

The number wasn't in her contact list, and she lingered there for a second before answering the call.
"Where were you? I have been calling for the last 10 minutes," an angry voice greeted her.
She furrowed her brows, tried to recognize the voice.
"And who are you? How dare you speak to me like this."
"Oh! Now you don't recognize the voice of your soon-to-be husband."
She gasped loudly, "Jasper, it is you?"
"Is there anyone else who you are going to marry." He mocked in his not so serious tone, but his remark made Kara little guilty.
"How did you get my number?"
"Come on Kara. You are my fiancée and I think it is absolutely fine to have your fiancée's number."
"But I don't have yours." She spoke without thinking before wincing on her words. She sounded like a real fiancée. She shook her head, and steeled herself. She needed to be strong to deal with this man, the man who was a lawyer, who knew how to manipulate people. It was in his blood.
"So you think I'm your fiancé." He made a statement.
"No, not at all. And could you please tell me, why did you call me?"

EXCERPT
He sat on his haunches again, “now tell me what is wrong?”
“I can’t tell you,” a mere whisper escaped my mouth, and I fisted his jacket closer.
It was warm and smelled like him.
“Did you skip the meal today?”
“No.”
“So, you ate so damn much that it is hurting you now?”
“No.”
“Then, you ate right amount but there was something wrong with that food?”
“No,” this time I snapped back, he was irritating me.
“Don’t snap, or you’d not like if I returned the favor, “ he growled, but I ignored him. I was having bigger issues to deal with. His ego could wait!
I cried because of the pain and he thought I did this because of his reply. “You’re okay with crying, but you can’t tell me what is going on,” he sighed.
