The Three are scattered, and their enemies are no longer waiting.
After the light that tore Sirenī, Imara, and Alex apart, each path leads deeper into a crisis that has been unfolding for longer than any of them understood. Sirenī is stranded beneath the occulted sun of Stygius, where an ancient machine holds an entire world in thrall, and a dangerous vampire refuses to let his captives go. To escape, she must do more than survive: she must decide how much of the past can be touched before the future changes with it.
Far away, Alex and Carter follow the message of a long-lost family member to Dardenk Vor, a world of skylands, ancient powers, and a shocking secret guarded by the Eternal Librarian. What they find there could answer questions Alex never knew to ask—and place a terrible power in the wrong hands if they fail.
On Earth, Jordan, Richard, and their found family face a rising undead threat with their strongest allies scattered across the Ring. Newcomers appear that no one expects, but even that may not be enough as dark magic presses closer to home.
And Imara, newly awakened to a legacy far older than humanity, must carry out a task that could reshape the history of the Three.
The Ring of Worlds is no longer just under threat. It’s answering back.
