Fog Harbor’s Heritage Center is preparing to unveil a prized collection of coastal textile art. The catalogs are printed. Advance copies are already circulating. But the three surviving artists who once shared a studio say several of the names are wrong.
For Annette Cole, the mistake is already costing her.
A gallery has begun questioning whether her new work copies the famous style of her former colleague, Hester Quinn.
Annette’s answer is simple: she helped make the original.
That is exactly the kind of problem Elias Thorne cannot leave alone.

While Elias follows altered seams, old sales records, and surviving studio notes, his partner, Police Chief Silas Kane, investigates the missing textile—and makes sure one mystery does not become evidence for the other.
Because the harder question is no longer simply who touched the cloth.
